On Tuesday 5th March, 2024, all of the centre directors and managers within our organisation got together for a quarterly Director's Meeting at Glen Iris Childcare and Kindergarten.

Attendees included the organisation's Approved Provider: Colin Sann; all five Centre Directors: Andrea Nicou, Melissa Davie, Sally Gedye, Stella Orlando, and Tracey Hayes; as well as the Media & Marketing Manager for Trident Early Learning: Alyssa Wright.

These meetings occur every three months, giving centre directors and members of the management team the opportunity to network, share ideas, discuss current topics, and develop, implement and review policies, procedures, and projects.

At this most recent meeting, we delved deep into our kindergarten offering, and made plans for centre programs, professional development opportunities, sustainable practices, and upgrades to services and equipment.

We also commenced the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) process, which is a formal commitment to reconciliation. Embedding the principles and purpose of reconciliation within our organisation will provide tangible and substantive benefits for First Nations peoples and increase the cultural safety for all children, families, staff, visitors and stakeholders of our services and wider organisation. 

We will provide updates going forward on how our organisation will strengthen relationships, respect and opportunities in our services and within the local community.

The next Director's Meeting will be held in June 2024 at Kids on Gallaghers Child Care Centre.
